Off to a Good Start

Well, I must apologize for not keeping up on the blog. But I will definitely try to get better at this whole blogging thang. So you probably would like know what I've been up to since the last time I updated you with my music career. This past year and a half has been great for me with opportunities I have been blessed with. I must say that I truly enjoyed having to pleasure to perform off and on with National Smooth Jazz Saxophonist Darren Motamedy at the Muckleshoot Casino. I gained a lot of learning experience playing with Darren. And have met some great talented musicians along the way which have opened up many other doors for me as well. But before I talk about that I'm really proud that I got the opportunity to co-write a song on Darren's current album which he released in August 2011. The title of the song is 'Candleglow' which is on the album titled "Gruv' Horn'.  You'll should definitely check it out as it has some really great material on it that you won't be disappointed.

It's Been Too Long

Hey Ya'll, I know it's been a while since I've last updated you guys with what have been going on with me. I must say it has been an exciting year for me. As you know i have my own band "3 SPOT". i'll get to that in a little bit. i've have the pleasure of performing on and off with a new group by the name of Todd Johnson and Salem. They're from Boulder, CO. The group is led by drummer Todd Johnson whom i met when my band 3 Spot shared the stage with them at ToSt Lounge in Freemont, WA. Ever since we've gotten aquainted I have been gigging a lot with this band when come into Washington on tour. One of the big opportunities I've been given was performing at Hemp Fest opening up for Bone Thugs and Harmony. Let me just say that was a great experience! Even though things went by really fast, I still had a good time. As for my band 3 Spot, we have been going through the motion with some things. I'm not really gonna get deep into that conversation. But with every group you have your ups and downs. But I'm proud to say that we've held auditions for a new drummer due to our last drummer moving out of town. I have the pleasure to present to you our new drummer Jason Bohl. He is definitely the perfect fit for our bad and has a lot to bring to the table, which is exactly what we needed. I'm very excited that I have more gigs coming up with my band. Also, there will be a debut Cd project in the works later this year. That's the goal! SO please stay tuned for that. I will definitely keep you posted. Other exciting news, I got the chance to meet one of my favorite piano idols backstage, Herbie Hancock!!!! That was definitely a blessing. I also had the opportunity of meeting James Moody, Terrence Blanchard, Derrick Hodge and some others. I'll have pictures to show soon. Well that's all the news that I have for you now. So until then take care and make sure keep coming back to check out my Calendar dates to see where I will playing next. Holla!!
